BUA Group has signed a deal with Green Power International for a 22 MW gas-based power plant, making it Green Power's largest customer with a total capacity of 42 MW from two projects. The agreement, signed on December 2, 2025, includes installations in Lagos and Port Harcourt.

Earlier, in May 2025, BUA Group initiated a 20 MW gas plant for its LNG facility, set to be operational by early 2026. Both projects will utilize MWM's gas engine technology, supporting BUA's transition to cleaner energy sources in alignment with Nigeria's energy transition roadmap.
