Bubble Robotics Secures $5M Pre-Seed Funding for Autonomous Offshore Solutions
Bubble Robotics has successfully raised $5 million in pre-seed funding to develop autonomous robotic systems for offshore applications. This funding will accelerate technology development and support initial deployments as the company seeks to address labor shortages and high operational costs in maritime industries.

Bubble Robotics has raised $5 million in pre-seed funding led by Episode1 Ventures, Asterion Ventures, and Norrsken Evolve. The company aims to revolutionize offshore operations by developing autonomous robots capable of performing continuous inspections and data collection, reducing reliance on traditional vessels that can incur costs exceeding $100,000 per day.
Founded in 2025 by former NASA and ETH Zürich engineers, Bubble Robotics is creating a distributed network of robotic systems inspired by satellite constellations to enhance ocean data collection. Recent advancements in robotics and connectivity facilitate these autonomous systems, which can operate in harsh marine environments with minimal human input. This shift towards continuous monitoring may significantly improve operational efficiency and safety while addressing workforce shortages in the offshore sector.
