Bulgarian Defence Chief Announces JSOC Naval and Aviation Units Certification for 2025
Bulgarian Chief of Defence Admiral Emil Eftimov announced that naval and aviation units will be certified for the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) by 2025, enhancing the Bulgarian Army's special operations capabilities across multiple domains. The JSOC's improved planning and training efforts will focus on high-intensity conventional conflict and increased joint training with various military branches, alongside a rise in recruitment for Specialized Police Forces.

Chief of Defence Admiral Emil Eftimov confirmed the certification of naval and aviation units for the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) in 2025. This will enable the Bulgarian Army to have special operations capabilities across land, air, and naval domains.
The JSOC's planning and training efforts have improved Special Forces capabilities through better resource allocation and training standards. The JSOC will also enhance joint training with various military and security branches, and recruitment for Specialized Police Forces is on the rise. General Bozhidar Boykov highlighted a shift in training focus towards high-intensity conventional conflict and emphasized the use of unmanned aerial systems.
