Bushmills Through the Wars Proposes Air Force Memorial in Portballintrae
Bushmills Through the Wars has proposed an Air Force Memorial in Portballintrae to honor six airmen who perished in a 1943 plane crash. The memorial will consist of two granite pieces detailing the incident and the names of the deceased, located on a former Cold War platform overlooking the crash site. The proposal, which has garnered community support, is set for review by the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council on January 20.
