BW Offshore Completes Interim Performance Test for BW Opal FPSO
The Interim Performance Test (IPT) for the BW Opal FPSO has been successfully completed, affirming operational readiness for the Barossa LNG project. This milestone is critical for the project's progression and long-term contract commencement.

BW Offshore has finalized the Interim Performance Test (IPT) for the BW Opal FPSO, confirming operational capability within the Santos-operated Barossa LNG project offshore northern Australia. The IPT verifies that the FPSO's production, processing, and utility systems are functioning effectively together, ensuring stable performance during production.
Following a production restart in early May, gas production and export have been ongoing, managed in partnership with Santos. The next steps include completing remaining commissioning activities and advancing towards Practical Completion, which will initiate the long-term contract period for BW Opal. This progression is essential for the project's timeline and operational stability.
