ByteDance Develops Over 1,000 Autonomous Mobile Robots for Logistics
ByteDance has created over 1,000 robots in 2.5 years, aiming for embodied intelligence. This initiative enhances logistics efficiency in both internal and external operations.

ByteDance has manufactured more than 1,000 Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) in a span of two and a half years. The robotics R&D team has grown to approximately 150 members, focusing on achieving embodied intelligence.
These AMRs are designed for indoor material transport within warehouses and production lines, primarily deployed at Douyin e-commerce facilities. Additionally, ByteDance has started to provide these robots to external clients, including SF Express and BYD Electronics, to facilitate the movement of parts and finished goods. This expansion may position ByteDance as a key player in robotics-driven logistics solutions, potentially impacting the market dynamics in supply chain operations.
