CACE 2026: Major Cyber Defense Exercise Held in Croatia with U.S. and European Partners
Over 100 cyber professionals from seven European nations and seven U.S. National Guard partners participated in CACE 2026, a significant multinational cyber defense exercise. This event emphasizes the growing collaboration and capabilities in regional cyber defense efforts among participating nations.

The Combined Adriatic Cyber Endeavor (CACE) 2026 took place from June 1-11, 2026, at Petar Zrinski Barracks in Croatia, involving participants from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Slovenia, and U.S. National Guard partners.
The exercise featured defensive blue teams and an offensive red team, enhancing cooperation and cyber defense skills. A notable achievement was the first interconnection of SimSpace cyber ranges from Croatia and Slovenia, which expanded training capabilities.
The exercise focused on defending a fictional military mission's unclassified network, involving threat hunting, incident response, and remediation planning. The event built on previous regional exercises, reinforcing collaborative efforts in cybersecurity and establishing a foundation for future training initiatives.
