Matthew Bromberg has been appointed CEO of CAE Inc. as of August 13, 2025, becoming the first American to lead the company in its 78-year history. The change follows the retirement of Marc Parent and a shake-up in the board, with Calin Rovinescu taking the role of executive chairman.
CAE, known for pilot training and simulator manufacturing, anticipates significant growth driven by increased defense spending and a rising demand for pilots, projected at 300,000 over the next decade. Bromberg aims to enhance operational efficiency and capitalize on CAE’s extensive technology and military simulation capabilities.
He acknowledges current supply chain issues affecting the aviation industry but maintains a long-term growth outlook. The firm operates 360 simulators and plans to improve their utilization rates while remaining competitive against emerging technologies in training and simulation.
