Cairo Airport Company, under Chairman Magdy Isaac, recently executed an emergency response drill at Terminal 3's Baggage Handling System. The drill simulated a fire incident involving a baggage tractor that produced heavy smoke, testing the airport's crisis readiness and inter-departmental response efficiency.
The Terminal 3 Operations Center activated the emergency plan, with civil defense and security teams securing the site and evacuating equipment. Emergency services, including firefighting and ambulance units, arrived promptly, while ground services redirected passenger luggage to minimize operational disruptions.
