Camp Pendleton has inaugurated the new Army Veterinary Services and Veterinary Treatment Facility, a significant investment aimed at enhancing the health of military working animals and privately owned pets. The facility is three times larger than the previous clinic, improving care for Military Working Dogs and supporting the welfare of service members' pets.
It offers preventive care, diagnostic testing, travel health certificates, and select surgical procedures. The veterinary team also supports the MWD kennel and domestic animal control. A dedicated space for the veterinary food protection team ensures the safety of over $250 million in food annually for the military community.
