Canada and France Collaborate on NATO-Compliant MRAP Development
INKAS and KNDS Mobility have joined forces to create the M1 MRAP, enhancing NATO interoperability and operational capability. This vehicle offers modular design for various military operations, presenting a cost-effective solution for allied forces.

INKAS, in partnership with KNDS Mobility from France, has unveiled the M1 MRAP, a NATO STANAG-compliant mine-resistant platform. This vehicle is designed for multiple roles, including troop transport, command and control, reconnaissance, and medical evacuation, facilitating logistics and training efficiencies.
The M1 features a V-shaped hull for enhanced survivability against IEDs, a design validated in combat zones. The collaboration represents a significant defense procurement trend where nations pool expertise to develop systems that meet NATO interoperability standards.
By focusing on NATO compliance, the M1 aims to attract allied military customers and strengthen defense ties between Canada and France. Its modularity allows for versatile deployment, making it a viable option for smaller militaries with budget constraints.
