Canada's federal government is investing $14.5 million to bolster the aerospace and defense capabilities of Kepler Communications and Dishon Limited. Kepler will receive $7 million to advance its Tranche 1 satellite engineering, which includes a network of 10 optical communications satellites launched in January 2026.
The funding will enable Kepler to enhance its secure communication services while participating in Canada's Defence Enhanced Surveillance from Space Project. Dishon Limited will receive $7.5 million to scale production at its new advanced manufacturing facility in Vaughan, focusing on high-precision components for aerospace and low-carbon energy initiatives. This investment is expected to enhance Canada's defense supply chain and support future growth in advanced technologies.
