CanCambria Energy Reports Increased NPV10 for Kiskunhalas Gas Project Amid Rising European Gas Prices
CanCambria Energy Corp.'s updated resource assessment reveals a 16% increase in NPV10, reaching $2.04 billion, driven by higher European gas prices. This highlights the project's potential in the context of growing energy security concerns in Europe.

CanCambria Energy Corp. announced a significant increase in the NPV10 of its Kiskunhalas gas project to $2.04 billion, representing a 16% rise due to revised long-term European gas price assumptions of $12.00/MMBtu. The independent valuation, conducted by Chapman Hydrogen and Petroleum Engineering Ltd., noted an unchanged contingent resource estimate of 571.9 Bcf and 59.6 MMbbl.
The project is set to commence production in mid-2027, scaling up to six wells per year by 2028. Current European spot prices for gas are at $18.50/MMBtu, indicating a favorable market despite the conservative long-term assumptions used in the assessment. The assessment reflects heightened geopolitical uncertainties and the strategic need for secure domestic energy supplies in Europe.
