India is set to deploy 33 hydrogen commercial vehicles across five states as part of the National Green Hydrogen Mission. This initiative involves significant investments and aims to enhance sustainable transport solutions in the country.

The Indian government will deploy 33 hydrogen commercial vehicles through seven new pilot projects, funded under the National Green Hydrogen Mission. The total budget for these projects is 2.0286 billion rupees (approx. 18.47 million euros), covering 90% of costs.
Of the vehicles, 17 will be hydrogen fuel-cell buses and 16 will be hydrogen internal combustion engine trucks. Key companies involved include NTPC Green Energy Ltd., Tata Motors Ltd., and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.
The total allocation for the entire mission has reached 4.1077 billion rupees (approx. 37.4 million euros), with 415.82 million rupees (approx. 3.8 million euros) already disbursed.
