Carrier Allocates €12M for New R&D Facility in Ain, France
Carrier's €12 million investment in a new R&D facility aims to enhance testing capabilities for data center solutions. The facility will support the anticipated growth of the data center market in the EMEA region, projected to add 13 GW of capacity by 2030.

Carrier has invested €12 million in a new research and development facility in Ain, France, expanding its testing capabilities for data center solutions. The center will cover nearly 5,000 m² and can test thermal equipment under conditions from -20 °C to +60 °C, evaluating systems with power outputs up to 6 MW.
This investment aligns with the expected 13 GW capacity growth in the EMEA data center market by 2030. Additionally, Carrier allocated €4 million to enhance its Culoz site for air treatment solutions, focusing on energy efficiency and adherence to European decarbonization regulations. These developments may drive innovation in energy-efficient technologies within the industry.
