Caturus Authorizes Major Equipment Orders for Commonwealth LNG Facility in Louisiana Ahead of FID
Caturus has authorized significant equipment orders for its Commonwealth LNG export facility in Louisiana, crucial for adhering to project timelines and costs ahead of a final investment decision expected in Q1 2026. The orders, placed through EPC partner Technip Energies, include essential components from Baker Hughes, Honeywell, and Solar Turbines, and the project is projected to generate $3.5 billion in annual export revenue while creating approximately 2,000 construction jobs and 300 permanent positions by 2030.

Caturus has authorized full purchase orders for key equipment to support the development of its 9.5 million tonnes per annum Commonwealth LNG export facility in Cameron, Louisiana. The orders, executed through EPC partner Technip Energies, are crucial for maintaining the project's schedule and cost basis, leading to a final investment decision (FID) anticipated in Q1 2026.
The purchase includes six mixed-refrigerant compressors from Baker Hughes, six heat exchangers from Honeywell, and four gas turbine-generators from Solar Turbines. The Commonwealth LNG project is projected to generate $3.5 billion in annual export revenue and create approximately 2,000 construction jobs, with around 300 permanent jobs once operational in 2030. Caturus aims to establish itself as a leading independent integrated natural gas company, emphasizing safety and environmental standards in its development efforts.
