CCC Secures Four-Year Contract to Supply RAST Systems to US Naval Air Warfare Centre
The Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC) has secured a four-year contract with the US Department of Defense to supply Recover Assist Securing and Traversing (RAST) systems to the US Naval Air Warfare Centre (NAWC). Manufacturing will occur at Curtiss-Wright's facility in Ontario, which will also provide technical support.
The RAST system aids helicopter operations on naval vessels, featuring a Rapid Securing Device for landing guidance and secure movement. CCC and Curtiss-Wright have a history of collaborations, with previous contracts with the US military valued over C$300m. In 2025, CCC was awarded another contract for power supply units for identification systems on US Navy vessels.
