CDF-Tonzang Demands Return of Weapons After ZRA-EC Camp Raid in Chin State
The CDF-Tonzang has demanded the return of weapons seized by the ZRA-EC during a raid on a PDA camp on 22 March 2026. CDF-Tonzang's Commander-in-Chief, Thang Suan Mung, warned of repercussions if ZRA-EC continues incursions into territory controlled by the Chinland Council. The raid resulted in the seizure of 14 guns, communication equipment, and a drone. Tensions between Chin and Zomi armed groups in northern Chin State persist, with CDF-Tonzang and its allies engaged in local governance efforts.
