CECOM SEC to Transfer WSOMS Sustainment to U.S. Space Force by FY 2026
In FY 2026, the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command Software Engineering Center will transfer the life cycle sustainment of the Wideband Satellite Communications Operational Management System to the U.S.
Space Force. This transition is part of a consolidation directive from 2020. The transfer includes documenting SEC functions, migrating records for Authority to Operate, and creating a Statement of Work for ongoing support of legacy SATCOM systems.
Post-transition, CECOM SEC will continue software support, particularly for the Modernization of Enterprise Terminals. The transition signifies a major shift in satellite communications management for the Department of Defense.
