CEED Tunisia Releases Guide for Exporters Amid EU Green Deal Regulations
CEED Tunisia has published a guide to assist exporters in meeting EU environmental regulations under the Green Deal. This resource aims to help Tunisian SMEs and startups comply with new standards to maintain their market access in Europe.

CEED Tunisia introduced a guide titled 'Pilotage de la conformité au Green Deal' to aid exporters in adapting to stricter EU environmental regulations. This guide, part of the EcoLab project, provides a practical methodology for businesses to evaluate environmental compliance and implement monitoring tools across water management, energy control, waste reduction, and data traceability.
Key regulatory challenges include the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), effective from 2026, requiring precise documentation of greenhouse gas emissions from Tunisian suppliers. Additionally, new circular economy requirements demand enhanced traceability of raw materials and eco-design practices. CEED Tunisia emphasizes that compliance can enhance competitiveness in the EU market.
