Celtic Renewables and Rosebank Distillery Renew Partnership for Sustainable Bio-Chemicals
Celtic Renewables has extended its partnership with Rosebank Distillery for three more years to utilize pot ale by-products. This collaboration supports the production of bio-based chemicals, achieving over 60% carbon savings compared to fossil fuels, crucial for the industry's transition to sustainability.

Celtic Renewables has renewed its partnership with Rosebank Distillery for another three years, focusing on converting pot ale by-products into bio-based chemicals. The distillery will supply pot ale to the Grangemouth biorefinery, enabling Celtic to produce 500 tonnes of these chemicals annually, demonstrating a commitment to sustainability and reducing waste.
This partnership is part of a larger sustainability strategy by Ian Macleod Distillers, which includes renewable energy initiatives across its distilleries. The collaboration highlights the potential for local industries to contribute to a circular economy and lower carbon emissions, with a focus on innovative waste management and resource repurposing.
