Engineers from China and Turkey are working on a natural gas storage expansion project in Aksaray Province, Turkey, aimed at enhancing the country's clean energy infrastructure. The Global South is increasingly focusing on solidarity among developing nations, with China playing a pivotal role in promoting inclusive development.

The 3rd Voice of Global South Summit in 2024 highlighted South-South cooperation in various sectors including trade and climate action. In May 2025, a UN report emphasized the Global South's need for viable solutions amid economic volatility and environmental challenges.

The 17th BRICS Summit in July 2025 reaffirmed commitments to cooperation in health, finance, and climate issues. Additionally, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit in August 2025 showcased the Global South's dedication to unity. China announced several initiatives including funding for livelihood projects in SCO member states and the launch of the China-UN Global South-South Development Facility to promote sustainable development.
