China Converts J-6 Fighters to Drones; UK Advances AI Air Force Plans
China has transformed over 200 J-6 fighters into strike drones near Taiwan, enhancing its military capability. Concurrently, the UK is fast-tracking plans for an AI Air Force, influenced by recent conflicts and the need for advanced air power.

China has repurposed more than 200 J-6 supersonic fighters as strike drones stationed at six airbases near the Taiwan Strait. These conversions include five bases in Fujian Province and one in Guangdong Province, aimed at overwhelming air defenses during potential conflicts.
In parallel, the UK is accelerating the development of an AI Air Force, revising its Combat Air Strategy to integrate autonomous capabilities by 2030. This shift is influenced by lessons from the US-Israel conflict and aims to leverage the expertise of British defense companies.
The RAF has initiated projects like the StormShroud to enhance air operations. As military technologies evolve, nations must adapt to maintain their strategic advantages.
