China's Central and Western Regions Shift to Green Industrial Growth
China's central and western provinces, including Sichuan, Hubei, and Hunan, are transitioning to sustainable industrial practices, marking a significant economic transformation. The shift towards green energy and advanced manufacturing is critical for meeting national carbon reduction goals and enhancing local economies.

Sichuan Province's Yibin city is evolving from its historical reliance on liquor into a center for green energy, focusing on photovoltaic products and power batteries. The N-type TOPCon solar cells produced by Sichuan Yingfa Ruineng Technology Co., Ltd. have achieved a conversion efficiency of 27 percent, with Yibin accounting for 10 percent of global power battery production.
Hubei's Huangshi city is transforming its copper industry with intelligent manufacturing technologies, leading to a 38.6 percent growth in electromechanical product exports in 2025. Meanwhile, Hunan's Zhuzhou city is fostering innovation through collaboration between state-owned enterprises and the private sector, particularly in NEVs and aerospace technologies. This shift towards cleaner production methods highlights the local economies' adaptation to global sustainability trends.
