China's Robot Exports Approach 20 Billion Yuan in Early 2025
From January to May 2025, China's robot exports totaled 10.377 million units valued at nearly 20 billion yuan ($2.98 billion), marking a significant growth. The surge in exports is driven by a diverse product mix, particularly in cleaning and industrial robots, enhancing China's position in the global high-end manufacturing market.

China's robot exports from January to May 2025 reached 10.377 million units, with a total value nearing 20 billion yuan ($2.98 billion). The exports targeted over 150 countries, focusing on the European Union and ASEAN.
Cleaning robots accounted for more than 70% of the total export value, while approximately 70,000 industrial robots were also shipped abroad. Key technologies like autonomous navigation and intelligent algorithms have bolstered the competitive edge of Chinese robots in various sectors.
Additionally, the country reported a 48.7% increase in industrial robot exports, surpassing imports, which indicates a shift to becoming a net exporter. By 2025, China had over 140 robot manufacturers, contributing to a flourishing domestic industrial ecosystem.
