Chongqing Plans 72 Hydrogen Refueling Stations by 2035 as Part of Development Plan

The Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology has announced the "Chongqing Hydrogen Refueling Station Industry Development Plan (2025-2035)," which aims to construct a comprehensive hydrogen refueling network. The plan includes building 60 new hydrogen refueling stations by 2035, raising the total to 72, with a hydrogen supply capacity of 25 million kilograms annually.

It will utilize a "two corridors and six trunk lines" framework to establish an efficient hydrogen refueling service network, focusing on key corridors such as the Chengdu-Chongqing and Western Land-Sea New Corridors. The implementation will occur in three phases: from 2025 to 2027, 10 stations will be built with a daily capacity of 15,000 kg; from 2028 to 2030, 20 more stations will increase capacity to 40,000 kg daily; and from 2031 to 2035, an additional 30 stations will exceed 70,000 kg daily capacity.
