Chubut is set to establish a Data Center in Trelew, supported by a $3.3 billion investment aimed at improving its digital infrastructure through fiber optic systems. The 'Chubut Hub Digital 2030' initiative, backed by the National Communications Entity (ENACOM) and technology firms, seeks to position the province as a prominent digital and energy center in Patagonia.
This investment is anticipated to generate employment opportunities and enhance international interest in sustainable energy. The provincial government is working with national entities to streamline the investment process and create a conducive legal environment via the Regime of Incentives for Large Investments (RIGI).
