Clarion County Planning Commission Delays Solar Project, Approves Exhibit Building
Clarion County's Planning Commission has postponed a decision on a solar farm project until May 21, citing unresolved decommissioning details. Meanwhile, the commission has approved a new exhibit building for Wolf's Corners and a solar-illuminated history wall in Clarion County Park.

The Clarion County Planning Commission has extended the review period for the proposed 'Woody Midnight Salamander' solar farm in Knox Township until May 21, 2026. This delay is due to outstanding concerns regarding fencing, maintenance, and financial assurances for decommissioning.
The commission also granted preliminary approval for a 2,880-square-foot exhibit building at Wolf's Corners, which will display farm products and includes necessary infrastructure. Additionally, a history wall installation featuring solar-powered lighting was approved for Clarion County Park. The commission's decision to extend the solar project review reflects the complexities of solar energy development, potentially impacting future renewable energy initiatives in the region.
