Clarksville Gas & Water Signs Agreement with PREA for New Natural Gas Pipeline
Clarksville officials have approved an agreement for the Clarksville Gas & Water Department to collaborate with the Pennyrile Regional Energy Agency on constructing a natural gas pipeline from Cadiz to the Tennessee state line. This project aims to enhance supply redundancy and connect to an existing 30-inch natural gas line operated by ANR, while infrastructure will also be developed to integrate the new line into Clarksville's system. Additionally, discussions with major industrial gas users will commence to evaluate future demand.

Clarksville officials approved a resolution for the Clarksville Gas & Water Department to enter an interlocal agreement with the Pennyrile Regional Energy Agency to construct a natural gas pipeline from Cadiz to the Tennessee state line. The pipeline will enhance supply redundancy and connect to a 30-inch natural gas line operated by ANR.
Clarksville Gas & Water will also build infrastructure to connect the new line to its system. Discussions with large industrial gas users will start to assess future demand.
