CleanCounts Achieves 2 Billion Clean Energy Certificates and Expands Tracking Services Nationwide

AMMONIAFUSION & ADVANCED NUCLEAR POWERHYDROGEN

CleanCounts, formerly known as M-RETS, has issued its 2 billionth clean energy certificate, the highest in North America. Since Benjamin Gerber became CEO in 2015, the organization has grown from a $1 million budget and three employees to a $10 million budget and over 25 employees.

CleanCounts now operates across North America and tracks a broader range of clean energy sources. The organization has evolved from tracking state government transactions to serving large corporations like Google and Microsoft, which have become its primary revenue source.

Following changes in federal energy policy, CleanCounts experienced significant growth as corporations sought to maintain clean energy production. The organization has expanded its tracking capabilities to include Renewable Thermal Certificates and Energy Attribute Certificates for nuclear energy. CleanCounts is also exploring new markets, including tracking food waste energy conversion and ammonia production using clean hydrogen.
