NATURAL GAS

CMA CGM has launched a new vessel call at Hazira Port, enhancing its Indian network and supporting the country's maritime trade growth. This call is part of the BIGEX-2 / MEG service, which connects Hazira to key ports including Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Jebel Ali, and Khalifa Port.

The service aims to improve trade efficiency by reducing transit times and inland logistics costs for exporters. CMA CGM has been active in India for 34 years, operating 19 weekly maritime services and employing approximately 17,000 people.

The Group recently signed a letter of intent with Cochin Shipyard Ltd for six new dual-fuel LNG containerships and is investing in Indian port infrastructure, with stakes in terminals at Nhava Sheva Freeport and Mundra Port. CMA CGM plans to recruit 1,000 Indian seafarers by the end of 2025.
