CNOOC Africa Ltd has signed a production sharing contract with the National Oil Company of Equatorial Guinea to explore crude oil and natural gas offshore. The contract area spans 2,287 square kilometers with depths ranging from 30 to 1,500 meters.

The exploration period is set for five years, with CNOOC serving as the technical operator. The company will conduct seismic data interpretation and drill exploratory wells as part of the project.
