Cognibotics Contributes Motion Software to CAISA AI Surgical Robotics Project
Cognibotics AB is providing its motion software for the CAISA project, which focuses on AI-guided surgical robotics. Funded by Vinnova, the project collaborates with Region Skåne, Lund University, and Cobotic AB. It aims to enhance motion control in pediatric heart surgery through advanced AI and robotics from September 2024 to August 2027.

Cognibotics AB is contributing its motion software to the Vinnova-funded CAISA project, which focuses on AI-guided surgical robotics. This project involves a collaboration with Region Skåne, Lund University, and Cobotic AB, running from September 2024 to August 2027.
Cognibotics' motion layer will improve the interaction between AI-based perception and path planning, enabling dynamic instrument handling in pediatric heart surgery research. The project aims to develop methods for transferring surgical knowledge to machines, utilizing video data from actual surgeries to train AI models that recognize surgical instruments and anatomy.
