Compañía Mega to Invest $360 Million for Vaca Muerta Growth and Infrastructure Development
Compañía Mega plans to invest $360 million to enhance production capacity in Vaca Muerta, focusing on natural gas and associated liquids. The project includes new infrastructure at Loma La Lata and Bahía Blanca, aimed at increasing natural gas processing and NGL production by over 500,000 tons annually. Construction will create up to 600 jobs and improve operational efficiency. This investment aligns with Argentina's energy development goals and follows a similar announcement by Transportadora Gas del Sur for a $3 billion gas liquids processing project.
Compañía Mega will invest $360 million to support growth in Vaca Muerta, enhancing capacity for natural gas and associated liquids. New infrastructure will be developed at the Loma La Lata plant in Neuquén and improvements made at the Bahía Blanca plant.
The project aims to add over 500,000 tons of natural gas liquids annually, increasing total NGL production capacity to over 2.5 million tons per year. The construction phase will create peaks of 600 direct and indirect jobs. This initiative supports Argentina's energy development and follows Transportadora Gas del Sur's announcement of a $3 billion investment for gas liquids processing.
