DEFENSE

The company initially profited from selling diodes to the US Air Force using its patented 'glass-to-metal' process. It expanded into double-diffused silicon transistors and power transistors ranging from 10A to 100A with a cut-off frequency of 50 MHz.

In 1960, it launched a 125W NPN triple-diffused silicon Mesa power transistor series developed under an Air Force contract. However, after ten years, the company lacked the momentum to remain independent and was absorbed into its parent company, becoming its semiconductor division.
