Comstock Receives Final Permits for Large-Scale Solar Panel Recycling Facility in Nevada

SOLAR ENERGY

Comstock Inc. has received final regulatory approvals to operate its large-scale solar panel recycling facility in Silver Springs, Nevada. The facility is designed to process over 3 million end-of-life solar panels annually and manage up to 100,000 tons of waste per year.

It is the only certified zero-waste solution for solar panel recycling in North America. Comstock has ordered all necessary equipment, with deliveries expected to start in Q4 2025, and plans to complete installation, testing, and commissioning by Q1 2026.

The facility will utilize technologies for crushing, conditioning, extraction, and recycling of metallic concentrates from photovoltaic panels. This initiative aligns with the company's focus on clean energy systems and resource reuse amid increasing challenges in solar panel disposal.
