The City of Concord Local Reuse Authority (LRA) has reached a financial agreement with the United States Navy regarding the redevelopment of 2,422 acres of property. The City Council will review the Navy Term Sheet and amendments to the Brookfield Term Sheet in their meeting scheduled for May 26, 2026.
Finalizing this agreement is crucial for the LRA and Brookfield to draft the Specific Plan and entitlement documents necessary for the project. The Navy Term Sheet details payment terms and establishes a framework for subsequent agreements, with a projected timeline extending into 2028 for negotiations due to delays. This agreement is pivotal for ensuring financial clarity and viability for future community developments.
