Conexus Baltic Grid Plans Natural Gas Tariff Increase in Latvia
AS Conexus Baltic Grid intends to raise natural gas transmission tariffs starting October 1, 2026, with a projected increase of 24% over five years. This adjustment is necessary due to rising operational costs and the need for infrastructure maintenance amidst inflationary pressures.

AS Conexus Baltic Grid will implement a natural gas transmission tariff increase effective October 1, 2026, with an average rise of 24% anticipated over five years. The resource-based transmission fee may rise by approximately 7%, transitioning to a capacity-based model in October 2027, linked to regulatory obligations and prior tariff methodology.
Despite transmission charges constituting only 1-6% of consumer bills, household costs are expected to increase by about one euro cent for cooking gas users and 0.75 euros for heating gas users. The rise in operational costs is primarily due to infrastructure maintenance, material availability, and inflation. Conexus reported a profit of 23.51 million euros in 2025, with a state-owned operator holding the majority of its shares.
