Connecticut Firms Contribute to NASA's Artemis II Mission
Connecticut-based companies Air-Lock Inc. and Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense played crucial roles in supplying components for NASA's Artemis II mission. Their contributions underscore the state's involvement in significant aerospace advancements and human spaceflight.

Air-Lock Inc. in Milford supplied essential metal components for spacesuits worn by astronauts on NASA's Artemis II mission, including connectors and wrist components. The company, a subsidiary of David Clark Company in Massachusetts, has been involved in spacesuit manufacturing since the Apollo program.
Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense in Simsbury developed hardware for the Space Launch System rocket and Orion spacecraft. With approximately 500 employees, 50 of which focused on Artemis II, the company emphasizes the importance of their testing systems for mission success. The Artemis II crew is scheduled to return to Earth on April 10, highlighting ongoing advancements in human spaceflight.
