Constellr Secures €37M to Enhance Thermal Satellite Imaging for Defense Applications
Munich-based Constellr has raised €37 million in Series A funding to expand its thermal satellite imaging capabilities, primarily targeting defense and government sectors. The round, co-led by Alpine Space Ventures and Lakestar, included various investors, bringing its total funding to €75 million. The startup's sensors can detect temperature changes with high accuracy and have demonstrated the ability to track maritime activities, including near sensitive military sites. Future plans include deploying additional satellites to enhance operational resilience.
