Construction Begins on ₹210-Crore Ropeway Project in Sangam Area by NHLML

DEFENSE

Construction of the ₹210-crore ropeway project in the Sangam area has commenced, with work starting in Arail near Triveni Pushp. Pillars for the ropeway station are being erected, while work along the Sangam riverbank in Kachhar is set to begin after the Magh Mela in 2026.

The project is managed by National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML), with construction assigned to Ravi Infra Build, which is developing the station infrastructure. Initially, construction was planned to start in Parade but was halted due to land permissions from the Army.

An agreement for land exchange between the district administration and the Army is forthcoming, which will allow construction on Army land. The ropeway, connecting Arail and Parade, is expected to be completed within two years.
