Consumers Energy has commenced construction on the Four Cities Metro Pipeline project, modernizing over eight miles of natural gas pipeline across Royal Oak, Clawson, Madison Heights, and Warren. This project is set to improve infrastructure for more than 750,000 homes and businesses, with initial work focusing on Royal Oak, Clawson, and Warren.
The pipeline replacement, which dates back to the 1950s, reflects the company's commitment to safe and reliable natural gas delivery. The project is expected to generate over 100 jobs annually and will run until 2029, with updates provided throughout the construction phase.
