Coolsheet Installs PVT System at North Sydney Olympic Pool with Capral Aluminium Support
Coolsheet has initiated the installation of a Photovoltaic-Thermal (PVT) system at the North Sydney Olympic Pool, supported by Capral Aluminium. The project aims to demonstrate dual-output rooftop energy technology, providing both electricity and renewable heat to maintain water temperatures across five pools. The PVT system will deliver approximately 114 kilowatt-electric and significantly more in thermal output, aligning with North Sydney Council's carbon neutrality goal by 2035.

Coolsheet is installing its first commercial-scale Photovoltaic-Thermal (PVT) system at the North Sydney Olympic Pool, with support from Capral Aluminium. This system captures solar energy for both electricity and heat, improving efficiency and extending solar panel life.
The installation features 206 solar panels, generating around 114 kilowatt-electric and two to three times that in thermal output, supporting over three million litres of water in five pools. This aligns with North Sydney Council's goal of carbon neutrality by 2035. The project emphasizes local collaboration and aims to demonstrate the potential for renewable heat in various sectors.
