Coratia Technologies Develops Indigenous Underwater Vehicles for Inspections and Research
Coratia Technologies, based in Rourkela, India, has developed remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) for underwater inspections, receiving positive feedback from the Indian Navy. The cofounders highlighted that while some components are sourced from trusted suppliers, the complete system architecture and integration are handled in-house to ensure reliability.
The company is committed to enhancing indigenisation, aiming for full Atmanirbharta in ROV platforms. Coratia collaborates with various organizations in research and industry, providing customized inspection services to entities like Indian Railways and TATA Steel.
The ROVs utilize artificial intelligence for tasks such as object detection and predictive analysis, improving operational efficiency. The design and testing process includes systematic evaluation of performance and safety. One notable product is the Navya autonomous surface vehicle, designed for tasks like bathymetry study, with plans for expansion both domestically and internationally.
