Cosco Shipping Holdings has contracted Jiangnan Shipyard for 12 new 18,000 teu LNG dual-fuel container ships at RMB1.4 billion ($200 million) each. The vessels, named 'Kun' (KUN-18N), will be delivered between 2028 and 2029 and are designed for east-west routes to enhance service quality and competitiveness. This order aligns with Cosco's strategy to increase fleet capacity and reduce carbon emissions.
