Croatia and France Strengthen Defense and Economic Cooperation
Croatia and France are strengthening their Strategic Partnership through an Action Plan for 2026-2028, following Prime Minister Andrej Plenković's visit to France. The collaboration focuses on economic projects and defense, including a contract for 18 CAESAR MK2 howitzers, while also addressing regional stability and the situation in Ukraine. Plenković's discussions with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte highlighted Croatia's defense industry capabilities in microelectronics, AI, and manufacturing.

Prime Minister Andrej Plenković visited France in December to enhance the Strategic Partnership with President Emmanuel Macron, adopting an Action Plan for 2026-2028. Economic cooperation and joint projects were emphasized, alongside defense collaboration including a contract for 18 CAESAR MK2 howitzers.
Discussions included regional stability and the situation in Ukraine. Plenković then met NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte to showcase the Croatian defense industry, highlighting companies involved in microelectronics, AI, and defense manufacturing.
