Croatia Diversifies Supply Chain Role Amid Energy and Trade Expansion
Croatia is enhancing its logistics capabilities with significant investments in ports and energy terminals, reducing tourism dependency. The Port of Ploce has seen its share price soar, reflecting confidence in its strategic position within European supply chains.

Croatia is developing its logistics infrastructure, with the Port of Ploce's share price increasing from 35-40 euros to 140-150 euros since 2019. A new bulk cargo terminal has been opened to accommodate larger vessels, and future plans include expanding container traffic and constructing a quay.
Additionally, LNG and oil terminals on Krk are becoming vital as Europe faces energy security challenges. Croatia's location enables it to serve as a logistics hub for both goods and energy, potentially reducing its economic reliance on tourism. This shift could present new growth opportunities in the region's supply chain dynamics.
