CSG and FNSS Launch CFL-120 Karpat Combat Vehicle at IDEB 2026
CSG and FNSS have announced a strategic partnership for joint development of armored platforms and introduced the CFL-120 Karpat combat vehicle at IDEB 2026. This medium tank features a 120 mm main gun and aims to address the rising demand for modern tracked armored vehicles in European and international markets.
CSG and FNSS revealed a strategic cooperation focused on the development and production of armored platforms at IDEB 2026. The CFL-120 Karpat, equipped with a 120 mm cannon and Leonardo's HITFACT® MkII turret, was presented for the first time, showcasing capabilities comparable to main battle tanks while maintaining lower weight and mobility.
This partnership aims to leverage CSG's industrial base in Slovakia and FNSS's expertise to enhance both companies' offerings in the defense sector. The platform's features include a combat weight of up to 34 tonnes and a range of around 450 km, with integration options for various systems. The introduction of the CFL-120 Karpat aligns with global trends towards medium tanks and fire support vehicles, appealing to markets in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
