Cuba's MINFAR Announces Death of Reserve Major General Claro Orlando Almaguel Vidal
Cuba's Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces announced the death of Reserve Major General Claro Orlando Almaguel Vidal at the age of 81. A veteran of the National Revolutionary Militias, he held several key positions, including Chief of General Staff and Chief of Logistics for the Western Army, and his ashes will be interred on January 21. His passing follows the recent death of reserve Brigadier General José Luis Mesa Delgado, known for his role in significant military events.

Reserve Major General Claro Orlando Almaguel Vidal passed away at 81, as announced by Cuba's Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces. He joined the military through the National Revolutionary Militias, graduated from the Cadet School, and held various key roles, including Chief of General Staff and Chief of Logistics for the Western Army.
His ashes will be interred on January 21 at the Pantheon of the Revolutionary Armed Forces. His death follows that of reserve Brigadier General José Luis Mesa Delgado, who died on January 14, noted for his involvement in significant military events, including the 1989 execution of General Arnaldo Ochoa Sánchez.
