The Czech Army intends to replace its Pandur II 8×8 armoured personnel carriers, which have faced issues such as poor availability and outdated software since their introduction in 2010. A feasibility study completed recently will inform the Czech Government about potential replacements, with procurement expected to deliver new vehicles by 2029-30.

Options likely include the Boxer 8×8 and Patria AMV, among others. The army's current fleet consists of 107 Pandur IIs, which replaced older BMP-2 vehicles. The replacement will support the restructuring of the 4 Rapid Deployment Brigade, enhancing overall military capability.
